We create our Hat Blocks from (XPS) foam board which offers high long- term durability and excellent strength.

We recommend always covering your block with cling-film before use. 

Do not use blocking pins, we recommend using standardsilver dressmakers pins for fascinators or smaller blocks and 30/32mm coloured head ones for brims, crowns & hatinators. 

Avoid using excessive localised high heat always keep the heat moving. You can use a hairdryer again just keeping moving.

Overtime your blocks will stain, this is normal and do not require any special cleaning. 

Due to the large amount of chemical stiffener's and varnishes on the market we recommend you trst on a small area first.

PVA can easily be used. 

We do not recommend placing our blocks in ovens or microwaves.

We have a great tip which is cost effective and does not require the extra cost of buying a presserblock. Contact us and we will send over full details.

We can create bespoke blocks in any head size or style. Please send over detailed images, drawings or form. We require full dimensions so that we can quote accordingly.

Buy from builder's merchants or Insualation companies, however you will probably have to purchase a large sheet,(50mm x 600mm x 1250mm is the overall size of a large sheet)

Buy PVA waterproof glue from any craft store or large supermarket.

Buy from Hardware stores, DIY stores, large supermarkets & on-line.  Type It is brown in colour not white. 100% waterproof

Cutting the Inserts, measure and mark where you want to cut and use a hacksaw blade.

Buy from Hardware or DIY stores.  A stiff fine toothed blade is best

The files on the video download are large (17gb) so make sure you have space for these, best downloaded on either a desktop or laptop. Please be patient and wait until its fully downloaded. Depending on your device this will take anything from 15 minutes up to 2 hours.

Many new devices dont give you much storage as everything is saved to the cloud, perhaps for this you could download to an external hardrive.
